Who is it? Who is she? Who is he? Who are they? Well, I’ve alluded to the answer to this question many times and many have tried to fabricate their own answer in my behalf.
The actual answer is nuanced but clear to me after seeing the way you and the rest of my tribe has responded to the journey I’ve been on.
It’s not an it, it’s a person…it’s the people, it’s me, it’s us, it’s Monique in California, Jason in Chicago, Samantha in Atlanta, and the rest of the tribe who has overwhelmingly been so supportive and caring toward me. “Music’s Best Kept Secret” is you and the fans in conjunction with the love you’ve shown me and the love that I have for you. Yes, I love you… yes, it’s possible to love people you barely know, particularly when they, you, deposit so much into my life and sustain my livelihood and hopes and desires. You have afforded me the opportunity to live the dream life that very few get to live.
For that I deeply thank you and I pray that all of you will always lean into the vision and mission for your lives. Not only do I think it’s possible for you to achieve your dreams…. I believe it’s necessary. Pardon me for being repetitive, but you need to hear this. Your secret super powers include determination that draws you toward your destiny and divine dedication to deliver on your dreams. You deserve to step beyond any and all doubts and fears and hurdle the barriers that I believe have no chance against the strength of your resilience.
